Open, read and save

Find your way around the PDF workspace and keep a saved copy.

Open the editor and choose Open a PDF, or drag a PDF from your device onto the workspace. Each document opens in a tab. Use the page thumbnails to move through the document and the zoom controls to adjust the view. Search finds text stored in the PDF; a page made only from a scanned image needs text recognition before its words can be searched.

Use Save or Save As and check that your browser finished downloading the file. A browser tab is not a backup, and downloading a copy does not silently replace the original file on your device. Keep the original alongside your edited version. Large files and complex pages can require substantial memory; try a smaller document if the browser struggles.
